Research Focus

Dr. Sellers has a 60% extension and 40% research appointment in the Agronomy Department at the University of Florida. His responsibilities include developing herbicidal and cultural control strategies for weedy species in forages and rangeland. Invasive weed species are also a component of his program.

Current research includes:
• Evaluation of herbicides and associated tankmixes for weed control in pastures and rangeland.
• The effect of fertility management in pastures on weed invasion and control.
• Effects of rotational grazing on weed control in pastures.
• Biology and control of invasive weed species in native rangeland.
• Influence of herbicides on forage quality.
• Weed control in fencerows and field borders.
