Research Focus

Dr. Ferrell has a 65% extension and 35% research appointment in the Agronomy Department at the University of Florida. His responsibilities include developing herbicidal and cultural control of weedy species in cotton, forages, peanuts, and highway rights-of-ways.

Current research includes:
• Diclosulam carryover from peanuts to cotton
• Effect of late-season herbicide applications on peanut seed viability
• Control of poisonous plants in grazing systems
• Control of weeds in perennial peanut forage
• Control of weeds in newly established bermudagrass forage
